Breeze Japan is an independent travel site for people heading to Japan. We write the kind of guide we wish we’d had on our own first trips — clear, up to date, and honest about what’s actually worth your time and money.

What we do

We cover the practical stuff first: visas and entry, trains and the Shinkansen, IC cards, money, the best time to go, and where to base yourself. Then we go region by region and city by city, from Tokyo and Kyoto down to Fukuoka and out to Hokkaido.

How we write

• We check the facts. Prices, rules and timetables change in Japan, so we verify them and date our updates.
• We tell you when something isn’t worth it. If a famous pass or tour doesn’t pay off for a normal trip, we say so.
• We write each language from scratch. Our English, Korean and Chinese guides aren’t machine translations — each is written for its own readers.

A note on who “we” are

Breeze Japan publishes under our brand rather than inventing personal author profiles. The guidance comes from real trips, official sources and careful research.
